Had an excellent meal at Noble Pig tonight. My friend and I concentrated on the Thai cuisine as we already know how delicious all of the barbecue selections are. Anyone who loves Thai food should stop in because it was a real treat, vegetable rolls, cashew chicken and more! Our server did a great job and we waddled out with our leftovers to take home and enjoy. Fifty million thumbs up for a memorable dinner and delightful hospitality, definitely worth the drive from Wisconsin to visit a favorite.

Four tables in the whole place, very limited seating. Luckily I didn't have to wait for a seat. Amazing food. I had the Texas something or other sandwich, and dining companion had the Cuban. 5 stars for each. Rich flavors, good textures, perfect amount of sauce already on the sandwiches. They had four divergent kinds of sauce you could add to your meal to your liking. The boobs sauce was probably my favorite. Carolina gold was a nice vinegar sauce, but still with a little sweet to it. My waiter was pretty attentive, talkative, likable, and even offered to to box up my leftovers for me. Great service. He's also the only person I've ever had offer me an Arnold Palmer drink. My complaint: they sold out of ALL their desserts... All of them except the ice cream. But who orders plain ice cream for dessert? I give them 4 stars really only because they didn't have any of the advertised desserts. Everything else was great! I'll definitely be back.

Had the pulled pork and it was solid. Tried all three BBQ sauces, the Detroit sauce was my favorite--sweet with just a bit of vinegar tang.

First off, the food is very good (like 4 or 5 star good). My issue is not with the food itself. I have been going here since they opened and I love the food. In that time the amount of food has consistently gone down (not only the meals but the sides too) and the price seems to be going up. My other issue is their lack of professionalism. The sign on the door and the info on their website say they open at 11am on Tuesday. Well, I was there today at 11:33am and it was dark and closed up. If you have no intention of opening at your advertised time maybe you should think about changing your hours.

My mom and I tried to go here at 11:30am on a Saturday but it was dark and the doors were locked. The hours on the door stated that they opened on Saturday at 11am, and on Yelp it says they open at 10:30 on Saturdays, so what gives? No sign on the door to indicate any kind of change, like a power outage or sudden emergency. Would appreciate a response!

So, I ate here last night....and surprise!!! I actually liked it. It's really more of a carry-out place, as the dining area is quite small, although it was nicely decorated. The linen napkins and tablecloths were a snazzy touch. As we dined I felt like a true Grosse Pointer looking out of the window at the rabble milling about across the street on the Detroit side of Mack Avenue. We started with the blue cheese chip appetizer...very good. For entrees, my friend ordered the ribs...awesome...I had a pizza...quite good. I will definitely be going back. I am glad to see a good restaurant finally in the neighborhood.

We have tried Noble Pig a few times since it opened. Originally they had a huge menu, mainly barbeque, and the food was delicious and fairly priced. Over time, they have added Thai dishes but generally cut their whole menu. We have noticed the variety and size of the sides has decreased and they have removed some of the more original BBQ dishes from the menu. We dined in the first time, but then ordered carry out the remaining 2-3 times we ate at the Noble Pig. Every time we have ordered from there, the prices just keep getting higher and higher and the portions smaller and smaller. The first time we tried to place a carry out order by phone, but no one would answer. I went inside and ordered the carry out, and the owner told me they don't answer the phone between certain hours. She told me my order would be ready in 15 minutes, and it actually took 45 minutes and I was literally the only person in the whole restaurant. After sitting for a half hour I decided to stand, and the woman was basically trying to force me to sit back down, which was super strange. The second time I ordered carry out I ordered one Thai dinner and one appetizer and my bill was 30 dollars. I asked her if the total was correct and she just said YES with no explanation. The only reason I am giving this place a few stars is because the food is still pretty good. It is homemade and has tons of flavor. But, overall, the food is definitely not worth the high prices (which seem to be increasing), the owner and employees are super strange, and their menu keeps changing with the number of options decreasing.

The best part, and it's an important part, was service - very friendly and efficient. We both had BBQ (ribs and pulled pork), which was very dry and the flavors weren't there. Sides were nothing special. Most restaurants give you two sides with BBQ - you only get one side here. Probably won't return.

This bbq place was the worst I've ever been, if I could give NO stars I would. My son and I had been looking so forward to trying it out. The staff was friendly but my food was gross! I ordered the pulled chicken entree, it tasted rubbery and not pulled. The salad I got was straight out of a bag and was wilted and dry. The Arnold Palmer was made with instant iced tea and lemonade mix and was gritty and disgusting. The only yummy part of my meal was the lemon meringue ice cream I had for desert. I will never go back to this place. One of the worst meals I have ever had and it was fairly pricey.

I left Noble pig incredibly disappointed. Although the service was OK the food left me with so much disappointment and even more frustration. As someone who loves to try new places and loves BBQ I am frustrated that we wasted an eating out time on this. The pulled chicken was awful. First, it was not pulled. It was chunks. And it was not tender the way that pulled meat should be. The Texas pulled beef sandwich was fatty and not filled with flavor. We should have known. It is a BBQ joint that sells Thai food.. And has cloth napkins and table cloths. What?! I wouldn't suggest BBQ from here.

This place is delish! I loved the thai food. I haven't tried the BBQ yet. I seriously crave it now all the time. It's something different and very good. Tastes fresh and unique sauces.

Ribs are good but nothing else is worth writing about? Get it to go and make your own Mac and cheese!

First, I'd like to say that I've been to this place a couple of times so this was not one bad experience. After the first rough customer service situation we decided to let it go and try one more time. Unfortunately, there's not many choices when it comes to BBQ in our area. We've only ordered takeout as it's too small to dine in. The first time we ordered to go-we received a piece of uncooked chicken, which I called and they told me they would give me half of my money back because I had tried the chicken. Okay? How else would you know? This Seems like either a desperate business tactic or a place that doesn't understand customer service common sense. I even offered to bring it in for their inspection. The next time I ordered the ribs and they were great except, but they had completely changed the sides (fries were no longer good and the portions had been cut by half). While waiting at the counter I mentioned the previous uncooked chicken incident and the chef started yelling at me-while at the counter! So I gave it back and then the woman behind the counter started yelling at me saying that I was keeping the chef from his job. Huh? Good luck Noble Pig. The ribs are the only thing on the menu worth a second look, as the mac and cheese was dry and other side are nothing special. I don't know who is running this place but between the woman giving back half your money for uncooked chicken to the sweaty chef giving attitude to patrons I would suggest you pass on this one. Head to Slows in Detroit if you can. The food is consistent and the customer service is what you'd expect.

Food was great had the ribs.....yum.....a bit pricy. A meal in my mind consists of a salad then the main course with a couple of sides. You get the main course and one side, everything else is more $. I would not mind but the prices should reflect this! Again I do have to say beyond that the ribs were delicious !

Staff was friendly and their mac and cheese is really good. I ordered the pizza, & bbq chicken which was ok but it's another one of those bbq places that dont have a deep smoke taste. It taste like they used liquid smoke as well to make baked chicken taste like its bbq.

Ribs.are.awesome. Pulled pork amazing. Mac n cheese is great. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because I'd like to see more side options.

My friends and I did takeout because the restaurant itself is very small! I had the ribs with the Detroit bone BBQ sauce. Very good spiced rubbed slab of ribs and I loved the sauce! It was just sweet enough with a good BBQ flavor. My friend got the pulled pork sandwich and liked that as well. The pork was in larger chunks than I usually see and needed some of the extra sauce. We liked our sides the Mac and cheese and onion rings were great. But the Mac and cheese side was only a small cup. Would definitely go back To try more of their sandwiches but would probably do take out rather than sitting in the restaurant

Horrible. Noble Pig took months longer than anticipated to open, their launch was horribly planned, and their staff lacks experience and personality. The owner is a 1/2 wit that has no business manning a cash register (Asian woman that is slow as hell, and screwed up my change to boot!), the cook looks like a grumpy alcoholic, nothing comes out of the kitchen with any sense of expediency, and their food isn't all that great. What's even worse was, I contacted them to let them know of my poor experience at their restaurant, offer positive, constructive criticism, told them of the wrong order that I received, the long wait, the cold food, and the incorrect change (it was off by $0.60, but it was still annoying... she didn't give me any coins back whatsoever, and the error was in her favor, go figure), and all I got was a pile of excuses. No "we appreciate your business," no come back and have a pulled pork on us, no coupon, no nothing. Noble Pig won't be open long. If it makes it a year I'll be impressed. Little Z's 2 miles North on Mack is much, much better. They have better service, friendlier staff, you'll get your food faster, you'll get your food hot, it's more reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is much better. I have no affiliation whatsoever with either, I live a 1/4 mile from Noble Pig, and I will never go back.

After reading the review in the Det. News i had to try this place. Arrived around 4pm to beat the crowd. FYI the hours they have are a lunch until about 130pm and then reopen at 5pm for dinner. The owner Brandon took pity on me as i had traveled a good bit and got me my vittles at 430pm. Started with cole slaw, creamy with a bit of spice. Moving on to the ribs, mmm they were Berkshire baby backs with a very good rub which had some heat by the 3rd rib. My sauce choice was Det. style. Sides were mac n' cheese good but to me seemed a to need more of a bite of chedder. Next was the biscuits, OMG, these were like my grandmas, i think i'll just go next time and get 5 dozen biscuits, and some of the best cornbread I've had moist sweet and full of corn flavor.. I'll most certainly be back

The worst ribs I have every tried to eat 90% fat. When they opened this place was great. Two years later and I have tried it a few time its the worst.

The brisket was juicy and flavorful. I did carry out but the place was clean and bit in the small side. Great service, even offered to open the door for me because of the amount of bags I had. The Detroit bone sauce was great.

We were really anticipating the opening of Noble Pig, and our first time eating there led to a huge disappointment. The restaurant is very small and not good for large crowds. The food was overpriced for the quality we received. When it comes to BBQ there are a few simple dishes that I order, in order to compare and that is the pulled pork and mac and cheese. The Pulled Pork did not seemed smoked, just boiled and soaked in a sauce. The Mac and Cheese was ok and that is all. Also we ordered an Arnold Palmer and it was not that good, something so simple was messed up, the taste of tea was very strong and after a few sips it tasted more like lightly flavored water. The other things we ordered were not up to par, and we were shocked to see the bill. It seemed way overpriced for what we ordered. The sauces are not as good as other restaurants in the area. In my personal opinion I would not recommend this to anyone and that they would be better off heading up the road to another BBQ place.

Excellent BBQ and pizzas. Small restaurant with only a few tables but friendly staff. Been for both lunch and dinner and have enjoyed both meals. Will be going back soon!
